WINAM Completes the Marine-Themed Children’s Playground at Bai Da Ong Dia Park

In September 2026, WINAM completed and handed over the marine-themed children’s playground at Bai Da Ong Dia Park. The site is in Phu Thuy ward, Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province. It sits along the Phan Thiet – Mui Ne road. Entry is free.

1. Bai Da Ong Dia Park: a new public space on the coast

The park spans 1.2 hectares. Total investment is 11 billion VND. It was funded through a socialized model, sponsored by Hung Loc Phat Phan Thiet Investment Company Limited. Construction began on 27 April 2026. The park opened on the evening of 29 August 2026, after four months of work.

The whole park follows the theme “Touch the rock and hear the sea tell stories”. It has four zones. A fishing village food zone, tree-lined walking paths, the marine-themed children’s playground and an outdoor sports zone. A sea-facing plaza is the central highlight, with a refurbished stone embankment in front for festivals and community events.

2. The scope WINAM delivered

WINAM handled the design and build of the marine-themed children’s playground. Children use this zone most. At the centre stands a large wooden ship. Its tail is styled as a whale fin, with a mast and ropes. Children climb the net, crawl through the hull, ride the slide and take the ladder up to the lookout deck.

Around the ship are wooden sea-creature figures. A whale with a vault opening to crawl through. A green fish with black spots. A row of dolphin spring riders. The area also has a multi-seat wooden swing and a balance beam. Enough for a whole group. Nobody queues.

3. Materials and safety standards

All equipment uses natural timber. The wood is treated against termites and coastal weather. Edges are rounded. No sharp corners. Design and installation follow EN 1176 for play equipment safety and EN 1177 for impact-attenuating surfacing. The playground floor is natural sand, matching the setting of the Da Ong Dia bathing beach.

4. Value for the community and tourism

Da Ong Dia beach has long been where local fishermen moor their basket boats. It is also a familiar stop on the Phan Thiet – Mui Ne tourist route. The new playground adds a place for families with young children to pause. It sits next to the fishing village food zone and the tree-lined walking paths.

5. Why the investor chose WINAM
